About the job

We are looking to bring in a Shooting AP for our Video department to work provisionally 4-days a week (negotiable: Monday-Thursday). Please see the details below and apply.

Role responsibilities will be tailored to the candidate and are flexible.


Responsibilities:

Working as an Associate Producer i.e., being the Project Lead on some of our clients’ productions including:

  • Independently and directly liaising with clients on email and calls (with line manager/Producer-Director on CC for support)

  • Organising productions in our project management system including tracking tasks for projects (reviewing daily tasks, ticking them off, communicating with line manager)

  • Creation and delivery of production-based paperwork (Call Sheets, Schedules, Risk Assessments, Paper edit etc.)

  • Being on-set as producer during shoots, accompanied by Videographer

  • Scheduling the edits including providing post-production schedules to clients

  • Working as Project Lead across multiple projects at the same time

  • Logging of project expenses and department costs across each month

  • Liaising, briefing and booking freelance and internal crew

Projects to AP on are usually talking-head case study films, or multiple talking-head promos. Working as a ‘Shooter’ on some projects, including:

  • Working as the videographer/cam-op on some projects, with support from the Producer-Director on-set, using a Sony A7S3 and other kit (gimbal, radio mics)

  • Working as the photographer on some projects [negotiable], with support from the Producer-Director on-set

  • Maintaining and proper storage of the kit

  • Being technically knowledgeable about kit and camera settings

We are open to tailoring the weighing of responsibilities to what best suits the ideal candidate, but the role will overall involve a balance of:


Associate Producing, Shooting (Video/[Photo]), [Video Editing] and [Photo Editing].


The role would suit a multi-hyphenate ‘all-rounder’ who enjoys multiple areas of production.


Requirements:

  • Experience operating Sony A7 range or similar to a high production standard

  • The ability to meet tight deadlines and work on multiple client projects simultaneously

  • Experienced user of macOS

  • Fluent in English language and a good eye for copy checking

This is a hybrid role based in London. We have co-working spaces in central London (e.g. Kings Cross) where we hot-desk, collaborate and co-work with one another at mutual convenience and when projects call upon it.


Desirable:

  • Experience working in a production environment (agency, freelance, in-house) within producing and camera operation with a solid understanding of the production process

  • Ability and experience to shoot both film/video and stills photography

  • Ability to post-produce stills photography using software of your choice

  • Ideally, ability and experience to edit film/video in Adobe Premiere Pro

  • Experience in fiction filmmaking (actors, locations etc) would be an advantage

  • Some experience in a charity would be a bonus

  • Driver’s Licence
